Bio-refineries and Renewable Energies supported on ICT - Call for Papers Cogent Engineering

Cogent Engineering welcomes submissions to its special collection on Bio-refineries and Renewable Energies supported on ICT

Europe, with its environmental policies, has set a path in search of a friendly development with the environment, taking advantage of the available resources in a responsible manner and maintaining a rhythm of progress that makes it an example for the rest of the world. On the other hand, the Government of Colombia recognises the potential resources it has throughout its territory to supply clean energy to the most needy communities in the country, especially the non-interconnected zones (ZNI – Zonas No Interconectadas). Thus, this type of energy is mentioned in Law 1715 of 2014, which states that “the State will develop strategies for the use of renewable resources for sustainable economic development, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and security of energy supply “.

Aim and Objective

The objective of this special collection is to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date collection of research and experimental works in the field of bio-refineries, renewable energies and ICT applied in energy and bio-refinery sector.

The special collection endeavours to tackle bio-refineries, renewable energies and ICT from a slightly different aspect; usually these issues topics are considered separately. Nevertheless, this collection would also like to consolidate them in a holistic manner.

Scope of this special collection

This special collection invites original research papers from I International Congress on Bio-refineries and Renewable Energies supported on ICT. All submissions will be peer-reviewed to evaluate their technical soundness. Manuscripts should address specific Congress topics shown as follows:

  • Biopolymers and Biomaterials
  • Biotechnological Processes
  • Pretreatment of Biomass
  • Green Chemistry
  • Catalytic Processes
  • Bio-economy
  • Tecnoeconomic Assessment
  • Environmental Assessment
  • Thermochemical Processes
  • Conventional Renewable Energies
  • Aquatic Renewable Energies
  • Policies and Regulation of the Energy Sector
  • Intelligent Systems
  • ICT support for the Energy Sector

To submit your work, please visit the journal’s dedicated online submission system.

Submission will be open in October 2018. Accepted papers will be published as and when they are received, on a continuous basis.

Before the submission of manuscripts authors should confirm that their work is intended for the special collection.
